  1. We Will Be the World Champions - Drama, History, Sport

    125 min

“We Will Be The World Champions” is a story about four pioneers who fathered the Yugoslav school of basketball, and whose merit is the development of this sport in Europe. The central event is the crucial game at World Cup 1970 between Yugoslavia and the United States. From the point of view of the main character, Nebojša Popović, we follow the growth and life path of enthusiasts, whose professional work, ideas and efforts made their major dream come true, the first gold medal for Yugoslavia in world championships. The movie is set on two different time levels: in present time and in reminiscence of Nebojša Popović. Their path started as far back as the World War II, and continued developing through a communist state, in which only in basketball could they find a place relatively free from politics.

  3. The Healing - Drama

    Jovo Maksić, Radovan Miljanić90 min

A cinematic story of drama after the drama and war that rages on in people's hearts even after the war. The hero, an Orthodox Christian monk, finds himself on a road to spiritual healing through circumstances he could never have dreamed of. The story follows the path to spiritual uplifting, metaphorically introduced at the very beginning in the hero's walk to the secluded hermitage. The leitmotif of watering a dry, dead tree, repeated throughout the film, illustrates the absurdity of the monk's faith. The film raises a question about the boundaries of love given in Christ's commandment to „love your enemy“, thematizing the problem of forgiveness as prerequisite for a life of love and victory over death and meaninglessness. The permanent paralysis of the characters after the torment of war invokes forgiveness as the only means to ultimate healing.
